What exactly is e-Li?
The CTAS electronic library, or e-Li for short, contains all the information formerly found in the CTAS county publications. The information is organized by topic and is easily searchable making it a great way to find answers to questions about Tennessee county government.
How do I access e-Li?
e-Li can be found on the CTAS website. To access e-Li, simply go to www.ctas.tennessee.edu and click on the e-Li button on the orange header bar or the Search e-Li button in the middle of the page.
How do I search e-Li?
Searches for information can be performed in a number of ways on e-Li.:
- Search using the general topic menu: Select a main topic from the orange menu on the left side bar of the e-Li site. Use your mouse to view all the subtopics for each topic.
- Search by keyword: If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just type in your search term in the box at the top of the page and click on the search button (You can choose to search the entire site or just a particular topic). Then scroll down the search results to find the correct page.
- Search by reference number: Each page in e-Li has a reference number. The number is listed in the header information at the beginning of each page. That reference number can be used to find that exact same page next time you need it. Simply type the reference number into the search box and click on the search button.
